"Green - the New Red" collection is the latest creation from jewelry designer Inita Straupe. Why New Red? Collection "Red" is inspired by natural motifs expressed in red enamel on silver, including the recognizable red garnet stone integrated into sun symbols.
The fundamental inspiration for the new "Green" collection is the TREE - its laconic, yet abundant branches and intersecting lines are translated into airy springtime earrings, and splendid necklaces and bracelets. The artist, Inita Straupe, about her collection: "During my childhood I enjoyed observing the silhouettes of trees against the sky. My grandfather was a scientist, a tree selector, which is why I was compelled to know the name of each tree I encountered. I drew tress, leaves – attempting to distinguish one from the other by identifying their particular characteristics. Later in life, when I immersed myself into graphic art, these silhouettes appeared in my ink creations, and I found myself attracted to tree images made by other artists. I consistently return to the natural world when creating jewelry. My mornings begin with a look at a tree near my window, the patterns found in the branches against the sky – this has inspired my new collection."" Sterling silver 925 42mm
